Cold Yellow And Hoppy (Huell Melon) 6.5% single hop, oat, and milk sugar. Pours a hazy yellow with a finger sticky white head that leaves a big thick ring with solid retention. 4.5

Smell is ripe melon, peach, passionfruit, mandarin, lime, and apricot. 4

Taste is bolder cantaloupe, passionfruit, mandarin, upfront with lime, grapefruit, and apricot in rather balanced finish. 4.25

Mouthfeel is medium, soft gentle carbonation, not dry or sticky, and at 6.5% it drinks a little bigger, but goes down very easy. 4.5

Overall another really nice NEIPA from my favorite local brewery. Highly recommend. 4.25

Southern Tier - Salted Caramel Imperial Ale.. cheers!

 

Picked up some goodness from across the pond today and will be breaking out a few of those. Starting off with Samuel Smith's Taddy Porter, 5.0% ABV and a fairly unusual size of 550ml. Tremendous head and lacing. Distinctive to me are toffee and molasses, with a hint of bitterness at the back. An outstanding beer from one of the pillars of English brewing. This brewery used to be regularly in my market, to my delight, but that presence has sadly dropped off significantly in recent years. These guys and Fuller's were my go to English breweries for quite some time, but Fuller's also has a diminished presence of late. Fortunately, I can still always get the Vintage Ale during it's annual release. Cheers.

Hell yea, early dinner. I found a hot sauce I bought at meijers or something, awesome stuff. Baked chicken with seasoned salt and chili/lime seasoning. Nice level heat. Balance of garlic and vinegar is not too heavy. Would purchase again. Also started watching the second episode of The Queens Gambit @lordofthewiens
