    Good morning advocates,

Cuvée des Trolls is a fine Belgian strong pale ale which, along with Delirium Tremens “introduced me” to craft beer, well before joining BA. The truth is BA only accelerated my beer advocacy.

You can find it in the US, for about $5 which is pricey for a 250ml bottle. Good beer, maybe not worth that price...

My favorite beer store is getting shut out of Bourbon County this year. Being in retail and management at my job, I have to work that day as it will be our busiest day of the year. But I got an email yesterday from a major grocery store chain that I was one of the raffle winners who can buy all seven. Now I just have to tell the Mrs I’m going to take an hour or so off from Christmas decorating the weekend after Thanksgiving. Opening one of the few I have left to celebrate.

I'm at my girlfriend's house, woke up around 6am next to her, in my arms. I went to bed around 230am after watching 2 Dave Chappelle stand up specials. Got a 6 pack of a Bodhi from the Bellstores near her. Always amazing.

Were there other raffle prizes or just the ability for the winner to grab the entire 7?

Very nice. Goose Island's Bourbon County was my first "craft beer", and without reading your post until now, poured my first beer today in my Delirium Temens snifter.

Congratulations! I missed out on every lottery (GI, Jewel, Binny's), with one partial allocation lottery pending. Not surprised as I only enter once for each. Almost scored at the Beer Temple, but after hitting submit on the third and final screen, it was sold out literally two minutes in for a sale which the sale time was not announced beforehand.

First beer today I don't see much here, but I like it a lot.

Well crafted milk stouts are the only beers I like with milk/lactose. Weather decision later today whether I wish to hit the roof top for wings and a few drafts with temps expected in the mid 50s but windy.

In the interim, going to my Busia's (my great grandmother) cemetery and see how much it will cost to update dates on my her and her husband's shared headstone, discovered after genealogy research (see I got SOMETHING done during COVID). She would have turned 126 today, lived until 99, fortunate to have her for 30 years.

LOVE Cuvee des Trolls ... when I can find it. But yes, definitely a bit pricey.

Just the ability to buy one each of all 7. Which being in Illinois, where demand seems to be the craziest year in and year out, is apparently all we can ask for this year.

You get a like from me just for the use of the word “Busia”, as my wife’s family is Polish and that’s what all of the grandkids call her.

I lost out on Binny’s lottery, didn’t try GI, and I’m glad the store I won at Jewel is the closest of the three on the list of stores that are stocking it around here. I’ll probably pass two or three other stores not on the list of participants that are closer. I’ll try to hit a local store that usually has an amazing stout selection on my way home from work on Black Friday, but it wouldn’t surprise me if the place won’t even get it for a week or so after, as they have had weird distribution in the past.

But with what I have in my cellar and what I’ll pick up of this year, I should be good for an entry or three on the BCBS tasting thread you set up, @ChicagoJ.

Good luck in the BCBS hunt to everybody this year, and as Katniss Everdeen would say, may the odds be ever in your favor!

Since I work the graveyard shift, I don't usually drink coffee this time of the day. But what the hell.
