    Hey BA’s
First time for me having anything from Kings County Brewers Collective. It won’t be the last, it’s loaded with 5 different hops, barley, wheat and oats. Hops are Citra, Mosaic, Idaho7, Centennial and Cascade. It’s a mouthful and a nicely balanced easy drinking IPA. When I opened it my wife said phew that stinks, I knew then it was going to be good.

I made blackened steelhead and shrimp salads for dinner. They tasted great but I need to work on my presentation skills.

This is another “Beer of the Month” beer from my boss, and it is probably better now than it was a couple of weeks ago when I first had it, which is illogical, given its age (I’m thinking the latest it was canned was late September) and the hop profile (Citra/Mosaic/Nugget/Chinook). Juicy juice.

Ranger can’t decide whether he wants to maul his pillow or his Christmas dinosaur. He also thinks we should convert all beer into Frosty Paws.

    And, man, does it deliver...

New Killer Be Killed album dropped today but so did Hjelvik...

--> Erlend Hjelvik was the lead singer for Kvelertak on their first three albums...

Once I saw Hjelvik had a song titled, "The Power Ballad of Freyr" it hadda get first listen... lol

--> *haven't stopped listening to it yet*

Yeah, so Freyr is Freya's brother, and something of a big deal in Norse mythology. Everyone liked him. He brought them fertility and peace and prosperity, also had a big dick and had sex with lots of things, including Freya - don't worry, gods do this all the time... Less humorously, he fell in love with a jötunn (mythical race, often misidentified as "giants" although that is not really accurate) - and to be with her he has to give away his sword, a powerful weapon that could fight for itself... He and the missus are a Hollywood-level god couple in their time, but Freyr cannot and does not survive Ragnarök without the sword he gave away in order to be with her... *now that is poetic*

Album is excellent - assuming you dig on Erlend's vocal style and Norse themes...

Very guitar-driven, employing smooth, classic heavy metal riffs and solos...

Other guys in the band are unfamiliar to me, but it's a solid group - sound like Maiden, Amon Amarth, and Kvelertak rolled into one... (full album here...)

    Happy Freyr's Day, BA...

#2, after careful consideration, I think this is Bell’s’ best beer, IMHO. Given their lineup (Two Hearted and Hopslam and Oberon, anyone?), that’s saying something. What a magnificent beer this is.
