My girlfriend gifted me this very fine Baltic Ale, right when Shanex got back home after a busy day. Shanex is happy.

Seriously this is a very good beer, which I have never had before. Outstanding!

Doing my beer buying on line for the last half year or so. Saw that Pseudo Sue now in twelve packs of 12 ounce cans. Did the math and found they were almost a penny cheaper per ounce in that format. After I paid for it they must have run out so they sent me 3 four packs of pints. Score bonus.

Another new beer on my day off.
Surly Brewing Mole Darkness - RIS - 12% ABV.

    4.41/5 rDev +2.3%
    look: 4.5 | smell: 4 | taste: 4.5 | feel: 4.75 | overall: 4.5

Pours a thick, rich black color. Less than a 1 finger brow/tan head. The head retention isn't the best, though good for the ABV. No lacing on the glass.
The nose has a great RIS aroma. Lots of caramel, toffee, chocolate, and vanilla. Slightly boozy smelling. Slight sweetness. What's lacking is the chili from the Mole part of this on the aroma. There's no "heat" on the nose at all. It smells like standard Darkness, which is good, but not what I was expecting.
Taste - OK, this is where the chili kicks in. It comes in up front. The heat, kicks in up front, and mellows out on the backside. Now, truth be told I'm a chili head - I like spicy foods, and can handle a lot. This heat isn't too strong, but seems at the right amount for me. The heat mellows out to a nice chocolate, toffee, caramel, and vanilla backside.
Thick full bodied. The heat sticks in my throat. The thickness of this beer sticks in my throat.
Tasty and delicious addition to the Darkness family.

Reheating some Christmas ham with hickory chips in the smoker box. And sticking with the "leftovers" theme, finishing the last of a 4-pack of Uinta Peppermint Patty that we picked up because it seemed seasonally appropriate.
