What beer are you drinking now? #2994

And now, after some errands, the first beer with a rating under 3.0 I have willingly purchased to rate/review (though probably not this can):


Orange-bronze with a fruity sweet flavor that isn’t like a lactose fruit-forward NEIPA, for sure. Cleans up with a little countering bitterness, at least.

Well, I won’t be bidding rid of this in 2020, but shortly into the new year I will be rid of it, hopefully for good. So I got that going for me.

 

Drinking Celebration Ale. I've got one bottle from each 9/25, 10/26 and 11/4
no surprises 9/25 has a distinctly less hoppy more malt flavor. 10/26 and 11/4
are virtually indistinguishable and full of hop aroma and flavor. Would gladly
drink another twelve of the 9/25.

 

Was as busy this morning as a one legged man in an ass kicking contest, so a little later getting started than I hoped.

Starting off with St. Feuillien Cuvée de Noel. Last one of these until next year.

Canada’s Jim Cuddy doing a song called New Year’s Eve. Seems appropriate. Cheers.

 

A few quick brews in between jobs. Excellent stuff and cheers to the end of this miserable year called 2020.

This time around, it's a Rogue 6 Hop IPA. It's good, but I was expecting better from Rogue. There's very muted citrus, honey & floral notes on the nose and those follow through a little stronger on the palate. Moving on from American IPAs to NEIPAs next.

 

Battery Steele Flume DIPA. My very first beer from Battery Steele. Last time I checked they were from Portland, Maine but this can says that it was brewed in Clifton Park, NY. Are these beers contract-brewed, perhaps by SingleCut, who happens to have a facility in the area? Does anyone know? I could not find any info online or elsewhere. Thanks in advance

 

Me and ted got stuck behind this truck for a few miles yesterday and ted said we should stop and get some of that stuffMe and teddy are done with work and trying to chill out

I will be worried if so. That is an amazing NEDIPA and I hope they can brew it the right way.

 

Happy New Year's eve afternoon BA's! The yard has been mowed, driveway blown off and pool filter cleaned. Lone Pine IPA with leftover pizza in the 80 degrees sun. Laundry underway, sometimes home doesn't suck

Moving on to this magnificent Barleywine from New Zealand. It’s my last one and the beer’s retired. So, there you have it.
