    Still have the sniffles a bit but have purchased a cough syrup early this morning and feeling better already. I’ve really cut on the paracetamol intake and can therefore allow myself one beer. So one and done for today:

    Scorcher IPA. I’ve been to NY once but not Brooklyn, great city at least for a visit. Visited then Ground Zero, went up the Empire State Building, Central Park and a few other highlights for less than a week...

    Some drawing I did in bed yesterday evening in an uncomfortable position with a low bedroom light hence it’s not too great (I’m my worst critic) but why not share it anyway. Meow.

    I probably drank my first beer too quickly, but I was very eager to try this beer! It has a unique flavor. I am definitely going to sip on this one slowly!

    Started a job last week so I’ve been busy as hell. Looked forward to drinking multiple beer but fell asleep. 77 hours done this week. Parts for robots. Awesome. I talk about how I was a cook for a long time but I have a tiny mechanical background from my time going to school for Harley Davidson and motorcycles. Things worked out.

    Featherweight. 3.7% ABV
    Pale ale. (Light beer??)
    Philadelphia PA

    Hazy pale yellow. Smells of candy lemon. Subtle straw. Flavors of crabgrass. Lemon verbena. Heavy citronella. It feels dry hopped. Light. Crispy. Very nice


    One of my top 3 favorite bands ever.

    A pleasant 66° and overcast morning for dog walking, and back yard chores. Trying something new for my coffee break - Wolf’s Ridge Brewing, Columbus OH, “Daybreak”, a coffee vanilla cream ale:

    This beer took the GABF 2019 Silver, then 2020 Gold in the Coffee Beer category. Lots of coffee nose and taste. I like! Have a sated Saturday y’all and Cheers!

    Been a while since I've had this - maybe 2-3 years? Alright, that's actually not really long in beer years, but it's just that Old Raspy is and always has been a benchmark for me for the style, so the return is appreciated... lol - And man is it appreciated! Whatta great beer... Always asserts as a top stout...

    Listening to the new Therion, released yesterday...

    Love this stuff - but not for the masses, eh? lol - influences range from Nordic to Spanish to Germanic and more - just on this album alone - a true Leviathan :astonished: - and always very esoteric themes - can't tell you how much shit these guys made me look up over the years - but I'm into it so it's cool... :wink:



    I've been listening to the album and watching fight videos for like hours now lol...

    Raspy is everything you could ask for in an American Russian imperial stout - lol - I'm just sayin' - rich and well-balanced, with drier husky char and woody notes atop a chalky cocoa and espresso flavor, sweetened with molasses and chocolate ... Big body and bittersweet profile is roasty and engaging...

    Even though I'm listening to Leviathan, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention, *of course* lol Therion has a song about Rasputin... :sunglasses:
