Good day all and hoppy weekend!

So I took a couple of days off drinking (like really and not drinking behind your back).

Ending this short dry spell with East IPA from Brooklyn in a 12oz bottle. Still a very good one:

I completely agree with you on these Great Notion sugar bomb stouts. I tried Double Stack with friends around 2015-2016 when it first came out, I couldn't drink it. I didn't get the rave reviews, and didn't understand why all my friends thought it was so amazing. It was Southern Tier stouts with even more diabetes.

Have a good Friday. 1.5 feet of subs with mustard, relish, salsa and the queso ruffles were great. Cinnabon creamer is great. Like the Major Melon dew zero sugar way more than the regular, tastes like gummy bears. I got an amazing price for a quarter bag tonight at work too.

Haven't listened to Polyphia in a while. Heard the New Levels New Devils album for the first time tonight, and it's really hit or miss. Both LP they previously released were outstanding so maybe the next one will be better.

I'm having a Thunder peel from Flying Dog. It's a 6.2% NEIPA. They advertised intense dry hopping to bring fruit, specifically orange, out. There is, in fact, a ton of orange. There's also some pineapple, grapefruit and peach. It's a fruit bomb just like they were aiming for. It's only got a 3.67 BA average rating, but I think it's better than that.

It's currently 2 degrees and I'm probably not venturing out anywhere so I'm going big with another dusty bottle this morning.

A Bourbon County with a date stamp of 11OCT13. The cap took a little extra force to pull off and it let out a big burst of CO². A pleasant brown sugar, bourbon/char smell. The taste is slightly sweet dark fruit, bourbon, molasses and a prominent oakey finish. An oily warm feel makes for a perfect cold weather sipper. I'd say it's aged remarkably well.

Up now is a Tangerine Express from Stone. It's an IPA with a shitton of tangerine puree in the mix. It's a bit of a one-trick pony, but that's what they advertised, and they hit on it. I like it. It has a good amount of bitterness to counterbalance the sweetness of the tangerine.
