What beer are you drinking now? #3040

Nice kickoff and beer to start the day @Shanex ! I'm in the middle of beer work and making good progress in terms of inventory, organizing ratings which I hope to complete updates here and ratebeer (I have at least double the number of ratings off line than on). Most will be cut and paste jobs so shouldn't be too bad. Working through my beer inventory will be a more substantial undertaking.

Powering me through at this moment is a collaboration between Lake Effect Brewery and our excellent local hot dog stand, SuperDawg called Super Bier.

Happy Presidents’ Day, BAs! I chose not to imbibe yesterday so I could enjoy a few on this holiday morning. Starting with Fatalaxy from Hidden River. This is is a Citra, Mosaic, and Galaxy tipa. Canned 2/5/21.

 

Snow covering the boulevard outside my condo. Might not seem a lot to you northerners, but its pretty unusual in Houston on this level. It was like 5 degrees early this morning which is at least a 130 year record. Tons of people without power, I still have it. Though think power went out a little for me before I got up, as some appliances were blinking when I woke. News is saying to not drink coffee or alcohol for some reason, F that Currently can't VPN to work, I'll give it a good college try for the rest of the morning, but might just call it off and start early and join in here...if I still have power

But thats also absolutely correct ha, I grew up in the north and everyone freaks out here for no reason sometimes when it gets just a tad bit cold ha.

Good day BAs! Off to a cool start to the day - overnight (between 0600 and 0700) we got about an eighth of an inch of snow - my sister-in-law in New Braunfels sent me a pix - 4 inches of snow and 8 degrees (F)! Damn! We gots nicer weather then they do! Hard on the lizards.

An OK impy stout, but markedly overpriced - $ 0.909/oz, 3.78, rDev -12.5%. And that's without deducting points for no date.

 

True, but when I was stationed at Ft McClellan, AL, I'd take my Mustang out onto the interstate and do donuts when it snowed - nobody else was on the road. The problem is yinz don't have the equipment or experience to deal with the snow, nor should you.

 

Sure, also the big problem isn't really the snow. It was freezing rains since about 4pm yesterday, cold temps and power outage. So there is some snow, which does happen on occasion here, but the entire city is also blanketed in ice under that. Which makes all the idiot drivers that much more dangerous (even when I lived up north, I was never that great at snow/ice driving but better than people here ha).

 

These New Trail collabs have been consistently great. This one with Pizza Boy continues the trend.

 

I was impressed by this one, very well executed!

Morning y'all!!! Looking like a Canadian wonderland in my part of Texas. A solid couple inches snow and brisk brisk 13° (-3 windchill). Wrapped up my @GreenBayBA run in the snow and forsee a full day outside with the kids. This might be my only snow and beer pics from the homestead, so I better make it a good day. I'll be taking @CanConPhilly advice on snow days!

I grew up in East Stroudsburg, PA and lived in central Sweden from birth to six, so this weather is nothing.
