What Beer Are You Drinking Now? #3060

Yeah, in retrospect I think this beer was a mistake.

 

Had three awesome (OK only two were awesome) brews tonight. Time to move on to some refreshments with a higher ABV. No pics. No posts.

Do not work too hard this week my friends. Yours truly may not post tomorrow night because wife and I have a Covid shot appointment Tuesday.

I am really enjoying this beer again as tonight's aperitif. It makes a nice starter and encourages slow sipping. Tonight's pot contains most of the ingredients except the beans for a YouTube recipe called the best damn vegan chili ever. The guy is really proud of himself, we'll see. The ingredient list does not stray from other recipes, aside from a shed load of chili powder.

And I made a trip to Wally World to restock my favorite cookies, Biscoff Lotus for a nice beer pairing to end the evening.

Left Hand- Found Fortune -Double IPA

 

Spencer Trappist Barrel Aged Imperial Stout .. oak, bourbon, vanilla, dark chocolate. The bourbon notes are nicely balanced and not overwhelming. Very tasty ..

Some Black Ale. I'm liking this more and more.

 

I have seem Ringworm at least a dozen times over the years, but not since the 90s. My ears reflexively hurt thinking about the small clubs and volume. They played all the time and anywhere. Hope they scratched out a living. What a tough life that grind is.

9%. ?? Doesn’t feel like it. Side note. my stepdaughter. She never met her birth father. Probably never will. She’s free to seek him when she’s ready but He’s scum. He wants to be a ghost said so himself he wants nothing no rights. Long story short and my opinion aside.......She’s almost 10 and unwarranted she called me dad today. “My present dad”. I feel very happy. Not making it a competition but it feels very good that maybe I’m doing a good job. I’m celebrating.

Pregaming for the (not) big interview tonightDrinking my last Stereohopic and I gotta say that my opinion spun around 180 degrees with this one. My issue like with a few beers was that I was expecting something else, taking the description too literally, and thus didn’t appreciate how good it is. I even gave 2 out of the sixer to my son after having the first (laughs). It has a nice, smooth, blended hop favor and has some bitterness as well. The more bitter the better - Ronfromjersey, RIP.
