What beer are you drinking now? #3061

What band was the singer of Triple H with before? I recognize the voice but damned if I can remember the band.

Up now is Avery White Rascal, a 5.6% Belgian Style White Ale. Banana, coriander, yeast/bread, and some lemon. This is a pretty good beer that I've come back to a few times.

 

I'm getting used to the cleanliness of this beer...CHEERS EVERYONE!

 

Motörhead is credited with Triple H. Lemmy Kilmister had been with Hawkwind prior to that.

 

Moving on......Spellbound IPA is in my glass now. I've never heard of them and it's difficult to imagine a brewery in Mount Holly, but they did a nice job on this one. There's citrus and pine notes with a strong malt backbone. A nice beer, I'll keep my eye out for Spellbound in the future.

 

Forest and Main - Tiny Tim (Bitter).

Once again, a super tasty English-style Bitter from the guys that know how to make them better than anyone else on this side of the pond (at least that I am aware of). An underappreciated style for sure, especially for North Americans.

Good afternoon Advocates. It is -13 Celsius here today but is supposed to be +10 Celsius tomorrow. What’s the old saying...I’ll believe it when I see it.

Starting off with Lake Effect American IPA from Great Lakes in Toronto. 7% and yet another Charlie Sheen (winning) IPA from these guys. Cheers.

 

Lancaster Brewing Hop Hog IPA is in my glass now. This one is very poorly rated on BA. It only gets a 3.43. I think it's a perfectly cromulent IPA. It's definitely nothing fancy, but I gave it a solid 3.72. It's hoppy with citrus and some pine notes. What are people looking for in an American IPA?

Musically, exploring a bit of Goose in anticipation of them being on the bill of a festival I will soon be attending (goddamn it’s good to be able to say that again!). Their hype train on the jam band scene is really building impressive momentum, an excitement I haven’t seen for an up and coming jam band in a long time. Not gonna lie, not really sure I’m getting it yet, but will keep giving them a fair shake.
