    Lawson's Little Sip (6.2% ABV) - Overall rating = 4.02

Just finished up the workday and decided to review this new beer (in the Pittsburgh area) to me. Here are my thoughts.

Had this from a 16oz canned on 2021-02-16
    A - Lightly-hazy straw-gold with a 2-finger head and good lace
S - Mildly dank, ripe pineapple, light cracker malt.
T - Fresh pineapple and lime, pine, cracker, earthy spice. Finishes dry and on the bitter side; less than Super Session but decidedly more so that Sip of Sunshine. In fact the aromas and flavors straddle these two other Lawson beers, which is a good thing.
M - Light-medium body and medium carbonation. Mildly resinous.
O - An enjoyable beer for me although in a side-by-side comparison with Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, I preferred the SNPA, which had more residual sweetness and those orange/pine flavors that have always worked for me.

And of course, there's always music to go along with it. I've continued down the acapella rabbit hole and this brand new remake of the famous "16 Tons" folk song is doing it for me. I've been practicing singing and playing it on my guitar although I can't sing as ridiculously low as this guy! Check it out with headphones or your speakers cranked for the full effect.

I can’t see the bird feeders from the kitchen, so I’m repositioning...and the oak pollen is crazy heavy now, so I’m sweeping up and moving plants around - all in all a very relaxing way to spend the afternoon. Cheers!

I was looking forward to this all day. And I am not disappointed. Quite gruntled, in fact.

Beautiful, semi-hazy body of peach and tangerine yellow; very dense and creamy head; white and sticky. Nice citrus aroma with elements of orange and lemon. Fine, mellow taste blending aspects of muted fresh orange with subtle biscuit-like malts; low-key hop bitterness; powdered sugar; very mild tanginess. Heavy body; soft and velvety; gentle acidity; some alcohol burn; semi-dry.

I have no idea what the age of this beer is (no info printed on the can), but I am reasonably sure it has some age to it, so my mind wonders what a fresher version might be like. As it is, the beer still delivers some fine taste treats. Nicely balanced and complex with suggestions of fresh citrus and tropical fruit and just enough grain base and hop bitterness to add some depth and character. Nicely done...
