Happy TGIF day BA's - and last day of winter - spring arrives early in the am here Saturday morning! Yea!
Shoot, I also just realized I do not have any Orval for "Orval Day" tomorrow....not good!

 

Brining salmon and watching “Savages”. Drinking a beer. Hop Tongue was not at the same store. Disappointed. This was a nice brew.





the blend with the malt and hops is so nice.

 

As with most things, it’s better to be early than late. Plus, I have more. Cheers.

Cheers folks. I’m having a Driftwood Brown brown ale from Ocean Lab Brewing. I can’t remember the last time I had a brown ale, but this is definitely good for the style.



I’m probably extremely late about learning of Michael Kiwanuka, but I’m working my way through his catalog. It’s reminding me of Curtis Mayfield and early electric Miles.

ps-Looking at the pics, I thought it was Halloween or All-Saints Day, so I walked up to the calendar and saw it was close to St. Patrick’s day, so I thought it must be April Fool’s day, but then I read the post and it all made sense. I wasn’t even aware of it. Sad indeed!

Corned Beef Brisket is ready to go- Cured 10 days. Trimming this up and separating the point from the flat. Then 1/2 for the smoker for pastrami after seasoning and the other half boiled dinner, pearl onions, savoy cabbage and baby potatoes. But this will be tomorrow. Starting light. Anyone tried this and liked it? Not bad. Very heavy on the citrus notes with an banana/wheat estery edge....although Im sure there's no wheat in the mash.
