What Beer Are You Drinking Now? #3108

Good morning @SawDog505, @GreenBayBA , and all BAs. It is a cold, crisp, and clear Saturday morning in the New York City metropolitan area. Up a bit early (some things on my mind) and thought I would start the morning with a refreshing Schöfferhofer Grapefruit Hefeweizen Bier, my favorite weekend, brunch drink.

This beer is incredibly delicious!

 

Good day BAs and thanks to @SawDog505 for starting today's thread. Off to a chilly start again but after yesterday's, it got up to 58 degrees so it didn't turn out to badly. Today's New Breakfast Beer, from @Rub_This_BBQ and NBS BIF #13:



A decent pilsner, fairly crisp and dry, but the malts are too subtle for my plebeian taste buds.

Bottled 3/11/21. Poured at 53°. Vibrant coffee with chocolate keeping the bitter roast on the mild side. Gots lots to do today, so have a great Saturday, and I’ll see y’all later - Cheers!

Stopped at the tap room in Chippewa Falls, I had a full pour of the this outta the Nitro tap. I had a 32 oz crowler filled outta the NON nitro tap for home. This review is from the crowler.
Look: dark brown almost black body, but when you hold it up to the light it is transparent copper amber. nice light tan head that leaves plenty of lacing and lasts awhile.
Smell: roasted malt and bread.
Taste: Smooth mellow soft roasted malt. Later you get bread, a hint of caramel and dark fruit, the beer is smooth and has a slight softness to it. Has both sweet and bitter elements to it. Abv is well hidden.
Feel: lighter body/mouth feel, soft, micro amount of creamy

Odd beer, not the typical American doppel bock. Has some characteristics of a Schwarzbier and a mild stout.

 

Wow. That's a start to your day.

 

I'm ready for this fine start to a fine Saturday.
