Going through Black Sabbath/Heaven&Hell right now. Then some Rainbow and finish off with Dio. Rainbow is my favorite Dio era.

Grindhouse Cream Ale from Ghost River Brewing.

Light gold color with white cap and lacing.

Aroma carries a scent of fresh yeast bread with just a touch of floral hops.

Taste on entry continues the yeast bread theme with a greater intensity than in the nose with floral hops entering before mid palate. Flavors remain consistent to the finish then linger a bit in the aftertaste. That's it, bready malt with a touch of floral hops but, then again a simple vanilla ice cream can be quite good if it's quality vanilla. No bitterness appears at any stage.

 

This is dank as hell and really good! Ludlam Island Brewing has stepped up its game. It's less than 10 minutes drive from Slack Tide. I suspect it will be a regular stop for me going forward when I'm down there.

I'm very sorry for the loss of your Dad! My Dad passed 23 years ago and barely a day goes by when I don't think of him. But now the memories are all good. I wish you peace at this difficult time.

I’m back for another Nelson Bräu. I could make this a summer staple in my beer frig if Jack’s Abby kept on making it.



This was from the Vax concert a week or so ago. I love Pat’s smile while he plays. I always imagine that he is saying to himself, “I’m f’ing Pat Smear”.

 

Bought a mixed four pack box of beer from this local brewery. I hope the other three are better.

 

Sorry for your loss. And amen to the nothing can prepare you for losing someone so close to you. My dad suffered from Alzheimers the last 7 years of his life and even though there was relief with his passing, it still hit hard.

Enjoying Bright Morning from Four Star Farms. A lovely English ale
Large community outpouring both here, (thank you all) and the wake, family, military, trades, neighbors. Have made this more joy than sorrow. I met the two remaining members of one of my fathers units.
Tough dudes, and the Québécois contingent was raucous as always.
