Coming to your town someday. I loved meeting a BA and having a beer with 'em and the girls loved it too.

If you make it out to the Springs, we'll have to check out the National Museum of World War II Aviation...

I actually think Pabst was meant to be consumed in a plastic cup. Somehow it signals the brain to think hey I am outside drinking with a bunch of folks.

I got no comment on the bourbon. Jealousy is not one of my better traits.

Enjoying this OG treehouse ipa. It’s a nice change of pace, while still having that treehouse signature taste!

BERKSHIRE BREWING, really managed the hop presence, with the requisite water profile to pull it off.
Lots of Sauvignon presence with great texture.
Not advertising here, but a good job by a Brewery 25+ years old, adapting to the new. Same brewery that crafted a killer Irish red for St Patty’s
    Cheers

...I wasn't planning on drinking much this evening, but since us fully COVID-vaccinated folks don't have to wear a mask at the Peterson AFB fitness center, I believe I'll re-start my thrice weekly visits (cut short once COVID restrictions went into effect last year) - nothing like hitting the gym for aerobic and weight training at 4:30 AM...

Sidecar of bourbon with that lager would be nice. As a substitute. One little finger. Not the middle one!

Central Waters Duncan Imperial Milk Stout, 7.75% ABV. Pours black and thin, with a two finger light brown head. Nose is graham, vanilla, lactose, chocolate, and a hint of kindergarten paste, but the good stuff. Taste is not as promising as the nose, graham, vanilla, lactose, barely any sweetness, moderately bitter. Good mouthfeel if a bit thin and watery. Overall very good.

This has been lurking in my fridge along with some other 12ozers, which just seems too small anymore, particularly under 10% ABV. Really preferring 16ozers and stovepipes.

Its the great Cecil McBee's birthday today, he is 86 years old. I don't think I have any records where he is the leader, but plenty of him as a side man...one of my favorites is on Streams with Sam Rivers. Live At Montreux, one long stream of conscience piece

Sipping on a Saint Arnold Commitment. A big ass imperial stout.

100th new beer of the year. Brewer here recommended it. I’m game.

    HopNuts 18b Pale Ale

    Brewer Notes:
    6.2% ABV 38 IBU’s

Named after the 18b Arts District where the brewery and original taproom is located, this pale ale is brewed with 2-row, Munich, Victory and wheat malts and then dry hopped with Simcoe and Loral hops. Classic pale ale mouthfeel and body with piney fruity hop notes. Available at both locations!

Appearance: Golden yellow clear 16 oz draft pour into a nonic glass. Bright white head leaves fine lacing. Light carbonation. 3.75

    Aroma:
Primarily citrus, light breast malt backing. 3.25

    Taste:
Bold citrus taste, light mango and passion fruit backing. Malty sweetness emerges, adding balance to the dry biter hops. I like this pour. 3.75

    Mouthfeel:
Dry, bitter overall though sweetness emerges at times. ABV felt, enjoyable buzz factor at 6%. Lightly dry aftertaste. 4.25

    Overall:
This is a solid pale ale, citrus and tropical fruit, dry and bitter, sweet malt backing, packs a punch. A little sweeter than my preference, but works well. 3.75

Headed to the burbs to pick up some Beachwood, will see you in a bit, guaranteed.
