Sierra Nevada Wild Little Thing is up now. According to the can, it's a slightly sour ale with guava, hibiscus and strawberry. It's pretty sweet & fruity with strawberry being dominant. There's a touch of sour as well. It's good, not great, but I could see hammering a few on a hot day.

 

Sounds like a plan......

 

I’ve moved a few blocks down the slope...at Green Man Brewery drinking a “Damn Fine Pilsner” German style, outside on the sidewalk:



Nice day - cloudy, windy and low 70s. The beer is pretty good too. Cheers!

 

In my glass now is Flying Dog Raging Bitch Belgian IPA. There's citrus (orange & grapefruit) as well as some yeasty notes. This is a really nice one.

 

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.

Having some fresh Hoptimum. Always have snatch this when it's available, it's the most drinkable TIPA out there IMO.

 

Duvel. One of my favorite beers! A beer for any season, especially since I live in a climate controlled environment.

I once saw REO Speedwagon perform riding the storm out wifb Chicago in Chicago and pretty sure Ted Nugent opened. Man I wonder if anyone is coming to that venue this year.

 

I saw REO open for Aerosmith in Charleston WV, I think it was 1976. Ted Nugent was the unannounced special guest that kicked off the night...all 3 acts were spectacular!

 

I’ve driven down to the French Broad River and I’m drinking a “Nelson Strata IPA” at Zillicoah Beer Company:

Saw Nugent and the Amboy Dukes at the People's Fair in Wisconsin in 1970. Huge on stage fight with bikers and security while they played. A wild 3 days in Wisconsin.

 

Up to the plate now is Ommegang Apripeche. It is in fact a tart wheat ale with peach and apricot, just like they say on the can. They hit exactly what they were shooting for.
