This is a beer that I have no clue what to think about it.

Another sweet ass fruit smoothie your wife would be drinking after a workout but this one has hops and I dig it to the moon.

- Rosé de Gambrinus 2020
- Orval 2018
- Stille Nacht 2014
- Oerbier Special Reserva 2017

Sorry, no pix, just joy.

 

Splitting the last can with my other half. Didn’t drink it from the can, oh well, still tastes great. Cheers all!

Tonight's Blind Battle Beer Tasting Lineup: (All 3 out of 3 pairs identified correctly blind)

1) Modelo Especial (4.4%): A Mexican lager that has smooth flavors of bread malts with hints of honey.
versus
2) Cerveza Pacifico Clara (4.5%): A Mexican lager that has pale malts, bready and yeasty flavors.

3) Josephsbrau Summerbrew (4.8%): A Kolsch-style ale from Trader Joe's that has grape and orchard-fruit yeast flavors. Somewhat plastic-like.
versus
4) Josephsbrau Pilsner (5.4%): A Czech-style pilsner from Trader Joe's that has pale malts and bread spice flavors.

5) Lagunitas’ Stereohopic Vol 2 (7.2%): A new IPA from California that has Loral and Elixir hops for flavors of orange, blood orange, peach, and pineapple flavors.
versus
6) 21st Amendment Blood Orange IPA (7.0%): Another IPA from California with strong blood orange flavors and red grapefruit flavors. Intensely tropical like a vacation cocktail.

Winners:

2) Cerveza Pacifico Clara: A smooth and delicious Mexican lager. More body, and dry yeast than Modelo.

3) Josephsbrau Summerbrew: Both are only somewhat average representations of their style, but this was lighter bodied and more drinkable. Probably preferred it due to the warmer season.

6) 21st Amendment Blood Orange IPA: This one nails the blood orange flavors. Intensely tropical and juicy. The Stereohopic V2 was quite vague and generic.
