    Whew - very warm 88 degrees and humid - had a nice visit with my daughter - went for a windy sail on the Hobie....super fun!

    look: 4 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 4.25 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 4

    Ruddy, orange-brown body; decent head, creamy and lasting. Light malt aroma with a hint of dry wood. Complex and intense flavors; high octane bourbon undercut with earthy spiciness; rye; anise; subdued maltiness. Heavy body; mildly abrasive on the palate; sharp warmth.

    This is an interesting and ultimately satisfying big beer. I can't say what two years of aging has done for the beer, but the bourbon barrel aging factor doesn't lack for intensity. Although no longer brewed, I'd be happy to have another one.

    Poured at 54 F; bottom of can data: CANNED ON 04/09/19

    I've been debating whether to get this album. Plus, I see there is a second album of this series named "The Lost Septet".

    My wife will kill me if I keep buying more and more vinyl...:stuck_out_tongue:

    @beerdedking 8 rounds in a week is an excellent vacation. I've struggled to get that many in a good month,

    Having a Seattle brewed, Petaluma inspired, Holland owned Shilshole Bay IPA from the Ballard outpost of Lagunitas. It's pretty typical for these guys.
