[IMG] This one kind of underwhelms me. Not bad, but pretty average.

I'm having a Yards Pynk, a "sparkling tart berry ale". It's a 5.5% ale brewedfrd with cherry and raspberry. It's a good looking beer, crystal clear, dark pink color. Cherries are more noticeable than raspberries. Tastes almost watery. I went to review it and noticed that I had it 3 years ago. I didn't much care for it then. I'll stand by that review.

Loved my visits to Väsen in 2018, so a no brainer to buy some when I got the chance!

Up now is Special Hoperations from Fat Head's. It's not fresh, but it's still really good. Tons of tropical & citrus notes. Grapefruit, mango, papaya, orange. A really nice one.

Smith Street is a project by Oppigårds, to experiment and do smaller batches of stuff than the regular brewery. They are off to a flying start, and this is is an outstanding west coast IPA. Old school, but still new school. Everything I hoped it would be!

Back on my favorite album of 2020, again...

Light gold body; lots of active carbonation; initial thick and spongy head, reduces to a thinner yet creamier textured white head; spotty patches of foam cling to the glass. Very faint smell; light cereal grain predominantly. Very pleasant cereal grain taste counterpointed with a moderate hop bitterness; quiet sweetness; balanced and clean flavor. Light to moderate body; semi-dry in character.

Overall, the beer is quite pleasant and easy drinking with some real highlights, especially the flavor, as the beer warms up slightly.

Poured at 56° F; no can dating info; additional can label info: brewed and canned by Great South Bay Brewery for Dutchess Ales - plus this phrase: "Natura est deus in rebus" (Nature is god in all things)

Forget the can art, try the beer. Taste it once, and remember it forever. Who had that slogan? Anyhow... Julius is a must try at least once for any beer enthusiast.

Very pale yellow body with nice carbonation; thick and frothy head initially, white and creamy, fades to a thin yet lasting head, still dense and creamy. Fresh, delicate floral scent on the nose. Mild grain base taste; peppery hop bitterness. Light in body; crisp and semi-dry.

This beer delivers some respectable lager goodness. The aroma is quite good.

Poured at 49° F; no canning data noted on the can.

Warsteiner Pilsner on tap at a local bar. I don’t drink imports often but am enjoying this.
