What Beer Are You Drinking Now? #3182

10-year old daughter saw a spider on her kayak and decided the best course of action was to just abandon ship in the middle of the lake. Had to convince her to swim back and get the boat.

 

What a difference a day makes...this was the Crystal Beach scene over the 4th weekend...

For 20 plus miles up and down the beach, and as always the fireworks were just amazing.


Now it looks like this ha. Both are fine for me, but after a few days of the above, this is much more my style.


The pup is actually coming out to play on the deck now that all the fireworks are done...



And my Dad and I went over to Galveston's famous Katie Fish Market, and are smoking some red fish.



Time for a La Fin Du Monde, and reading The Fishermen. Almost like a fairy tale/parable that takes Nigerian myths, Bible stories and Greek myths and wraps it all up in a great modern African story.





Might be back the next time I get internet access ha, but that has been really spotty...again I'm perfectly fine with that

 

Just unloaded and stacked a truck full of firewood. Getting warm out, so I'm shutting down for lunch and a beer.

It is, been raining in the morning, but clears up later. The temps are way cooler than the normal 100 degrees, its like 70 and no humidity which is just...different for this time of year, and had to take my Dad's car into the shop in Galveston. The only way to get there, is to take a ferry and the waits have been everlasting. We had to make two 4 hour round trips just to go like 10 miles. Though outside of that, as there is always something that happens on vacation, it really has been great.
