Ok, we moved out into the open at a farm brewery a few miles from Adroit Theory, Wheatland Springs, where they use this coolship (or maybe another they have on the other side of that wall?):


…to produce beers like this:


Westerly Farmhouse - a solid beer with a hint of honey and just a spot on tart/tang. Clean, crisp, balanced, and ever so slightly acidic. Very tasty!! (if a tad expensive)

 

First time seeing Resilience Brewing in my store. I’m happy with it. Very mellow beer but still complex and flavorful. Anyone from New Hampshire out there care to shed some light on them? I know I can google it but sometimes a guy appreciates pleasant conversation. Cheers.

Time for another dark beer - this is Frank Coffee Stout from The Guardian Brewing Co. out of Muncie, IN.

 

Did @GreenBayBA throw you off the roof?

Poured into a pint glass this beer is a pale straw color with a 1 finger bright white head which fades to a skim leaving no lace.

Scent is fruity - apples, pears and lemon. Crisp herbal note of Noble hops.

Taste is apples and pears with a light vinous quality accompanied by spicy hop flavors and a hint of biscuit. Lemon zest. The malt note is there but is ever so subtle. Not especially bready. Subtle bitterness on the finish.

Mouth is a crisp light medium with lively carbonation.

Light and refreshing yet full of flavor. Well balanced and subtle. Crisp clean finish. Great stuff.

 

"The Kook" kolsch at Breaking Waves, little local I had never heard of until today. It's...ok.

 

You know what they say, never trust a guy who has arms like Barr Starr!

 

The only thing we're missing here is Sammy Hagar.
