Yeah, you're in just as much heat as we are here. I've lived in FL for 50 years so I know what to expect. Once retired I could live up north year round. Get up and it snowing and cold, grab stout, light a fire and spin albums ...cheers!

Fred introduced me to Kat Edmonson's music, and to Kat herself at his store. Fred's wife was her teacher in high school. She would always drop off singles or promos and finally albums at his store. She is not a "big" name, but one of the better jazz vocalists around. Starting in Houston and Austin, now singing in New York. In the jazz world that is big and making it. When Kat moved away, her Mom would always come to the store and keep us up to date. We joke that she only made a vinyl edition of her album Dreamers Do cause all the regulars at All Records were demanding it

Goes perfect with a La Fin Du Monde.

Nice day trip, not too much walking or stairs…back at the campground and building another fire for later - Civil Society’s “Fresh”:



No canning date (Shame, shame). Poured at 51° after warming for about 10 minutes (pulled from my Yeti Hopper Two 20). The zipper failed (apparently a common problem) but Velcro keeps it sealed, but not leak proof. Yetis keep contents cold, but both of mine have been problems…I doubt I’ll ever buy another…Cheers y’all!

 

Trying to stay savvy as I think about dinner tonight.
a new N/A beer here, Untitled Art's Watermelon Gose. Lacking a bit of that je ne sais salt characteristic, but otherwise, still better than alcoholic seltzer.

Nice, I see she is touring again, hoping that means coming back to Houston eventually. Won't be the same without Fred though. Hopefully I can still get together with the rest of the family if they want to come.

 

Post car wash beer. Jumped into the nice refreshing pool.......and the water is 92 f'ing degrees, the wife loves it.
