Grabbed me an Equilibrium, it's tasting great, period, good stuff. Packed a mini box tonight that I hope gives a BA a chance to try a couple new beers. We're a great bunch, when we're sober enough to realize it....cheers mates!

I’ve been eyeing these St. Peter’s cream stouts for a while, finally opting to try one. Call me nuts, but it sounds, pours, and smells English. It must be that English air and water. Fridge cold to a tulip. No head that lasts. More lacing than I anticipated. Aroma is vanilla up front, bitter chocolate, and a hint of char despite this not being a barrel aged brew, as far as I know. Flavor is “spot on” with vanilla and chocolate notes, derived without adjuncts it would appear. I don’t get any coffee per se, though the malt base is fairly beefy, bringing up various deep flavors. Mouthfeel is full and creamy, with a touch of carbonation. Human ABV at 6.9%. Wow. As it warms up, I’m getting a lot more vanilla and cream. It’s very easy to knock back. Quite enjoyable. I could imagine drinking this as a hot-day beer, given it’s refreshing and almost crisp body for a dark beer. No idea about bottling date, though there is a stamped 20247 on it…maybe 247th day of 2020? At ~$5 a pint-ish bottle, it’s priced in the big brewer range, but don’t you know…it’s worth it, IMO.

Opened up the night with a mai tai but switched back over. Sadly on my last can of Unusually Precise Tornado from Turning Point. Still one of my favorite beer names I can think of.

Too funny! I just try to keep with the main themes of the rating area, and use it as a sort of beer diary to recall whether or not I should buy one again. I’m a terrible historian, so BA is a helpful tool for me in that regard. Any other time, I’m just bellied up to the virtual bar and shooting’ the sh!t.

Beans look pretty plump! We’ve tried, but usually we either plant too late or they come out all scraggly. Maybe those are beer battered shrimp…

A few of those would've made the call even better ( especially when you take the pee break )

I am pleased with the green beans. Been over 40 years since I tried to grow produce.

My wife and I dated in high school and then, after breaking up, didn’t see each other for over a decade. We started talking again in 2004 and when she visited me while I was living in California, we decided to start dating again 17 years ago today. And the only thing as memorable about that day for me is the fact that we watched the All-Star game that night and saw Roger Clemens give up to six runs in the first inning in his hometown and I laughed my fucking ass off during it.
