    Good afternoon BA
I didn’t know this Scotch Ale collaboration was four years old when I picked it up in Anderson, SC. Turns out it still tastes great!

Coastal Evacuation a DIPA from Cape May Brewing. I’ve had this brew on tap and at the brewery. This is the 1st time from a can. This beer is fresh canned on 06/01/2 an excellent brew from the second largest brewery in NJ.

Excellent chamomile Saison from Perennial. I think I'll have a local Saison next.

Wow, that Heady Topper was great but a bit of a palate wrecker! Got a little buzz too (skipped lunch today, yikes!) Had to cleans my palate with a favorite Kolsch from Gaffel. Prost!

This guy was so talented. It's a shame he died at 59. What a waste of talent. His music is so relaxing.

LOL! That reminds me. I have 23 year old twins. My wife was pregnant during the summer with them. She keep the house at 68 degrees. We had condensation on all the windows. I promise, I wore sweatshirts in the house all summer. But did I complain once? Not on your life! The woman is saint! Cheers bro!

You know, when I think about what I was drinking in the 80's and 90's, I am grateful for the selection we have today. There are some great beers within reach most areas. It's fantastic.

Smog City Brewing Co. 10th anniv. IPA. Nice IPA right here...Not sure I would hold it up as a shining example of brewsmanship worthy of a 10th anniversary, but it is good. In other news, I finished the re-start of my volunteer gig at the food bank (Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County). Sorted more plantains than I ever want to see again. I learned a lot, and not just about plantains. For example, they would much prefer to get $$$ donations than food donations from individuals. They have targeted nutritional values they aim for and they can control that by making their own purchases, plus their dollars go much much farther than yours do at a market. [IMG]

Close enough to 5:00 for this beer nube. Bottled on 12-31-20, I much prefer this one with a little bit of age on it (drinking rather well, however!). God bless 'em for working on New Year's Eve, the least I can do is enjoy it.

I wasn't that great, either, but it was fun. Of course I showed my best shot (that was about my 3-4th throw, so beginners luck).

Well, I mentioned last post I got a couple English molds (which was of course a typo for milds), but even that would've been somewhat misleading. Because the Bluejacket beer I grabbed (Love Language) is officially labeled an English-style Bitter Ale (at a mild 4.8%)

Definitely enjoying some restful time on the couch with this after a decent paced hike in mildly stifling conditions. Grain bread (marbled with pumpernickel, oddly) malt opening with a neutral leaning dry leaf bitterness backing it up.
