i've been asking these guys to offer more crowlers to go, today they released this only on draft, growlers as swell

 

Victory Brotherly Love Hazy IPA - I don't drink IPAs as much but recently I was in the mood to revisit some old-school ones that I haven't had in a while. Mixed feelings there and I enjoyed them but still not my favorite type of beers.

But yet I still do get into moods for something hoppy. I had this beer when it first came out but haven't since and saw some fresh so giving it another shot. Pours a light yellow, very hazy, generous head. Smell is kind of muted but the hops are there. Taste is good and just enough bitterness to round it out...nicely balanced.

This is a solid choice if you want a fairly priced easily obtainable shelf hazy. The stats:

After cleaning up the back yard and mowing the lawn, I’m enjoying my weekly beer (I’ve now lost about 12 pounds since I changed my diet about 3 weeks ago), along with a little light summer reading—all voters should be required to read this book before the next election. Cheers!

War Canary from Noble Beast Brewing hailing from Cleveland, Ohio
Wheat Beer - Witbier. 5.2 abv





Poured from a can dated 6/7/21
Hazy yellow appearance with a 1 inch soapy head, slight lacing and thin veil

Aroma of yeasty banana bread, coriander and some citrus

Taste is bready, with layers of oat, banana, coriander and citrus

Mouthfeel is Pilsner like, light, refreshing, decent carbonation

Overall it hits all the notes of what you would expect of a Witbier

Made a little cocktail and the GF liked it enough that we downed it pretty quickly. So, I switched back to beer for my cigar…


A cheaper Alec Bradley is lighter than the Prensado I liked before, but the beer…

is very enjoyable, as we found out last night when we had the first Mosaic Dream from Other Half. The pairing with the cigar, however, is messing up my palate and dulling the beer’s flavors.

Live and learn.

 

Glad to have this beer in my glass! Headed to dinner with the in-laws shortly.
