I could smell this one all morning, great nose! The age was very kind to it, a 2011. Cheers!

 

Good to see some others joined in before I got here. Been up since 4am, doing random shit because I couldn’t get back to sleep. Watched the second half of the Spain v Côte d'Ivoire Olympics soccer match with it’s somewhat crazy 90th minute+ ending.

While watching, I deleted some old photos on my phone. Then it was light enough to go for a jog/walk. The photo album cleansing brings me to this before and now hike photo of the day:


About 6 months apart, I think, and at a slightly different angle, so I doubt the uprooted trunk has shifted as much as it seems.

And a morning beer:


Random observation today: the first 2/3 of my time on the trails, people I passed were very forthcoming with greetings oh, “Hello” and “Good morning,” many with a smile. Then (about 30 minutes in) people were more hesitant, and by the end, most were inwardly focused and barely acknowledged there was someone else on the trail. No analysis, just something I happened to notice.

GF woke up so we’re sharing a beer before she visits family for a few days. “Glasses” work well for us, and expecting to have two more similar to these, which will be all prepped to hold lagers, by the end of the day.

 

I am almost out of beer, and I need to buy a new Aaron Rodgers jersey for gamedays, since the one I had was accidentally desecrated a couple weeks ago. The best place to buy those items is in the Lambeau Field area, so I might as well attend Green Bay Packers practice to see how things are going for the team.

I had so much fun hanging out with @vabeerguy yesterday. We probably drank a beer or two too many, but we both made it safely home none the worse for our two breweries visits. Good times, good beer. Did a nice 2 miler with Emma at a local metropark, that is glowing with prairie wildflowers blooming! Just beautiful....just chillin' with baby now....
