Lunch beer is always a satisfying beer isn't it? A flat bread pizza and Ironshield 7 Sisters Vienna Lager. Yessir!

I bet you’ll never guess where I am.

Ok, I’ll give you a hint: a lot of their beer portfolio is NEIPAs. Hope I didn’t narrow it down too far.

This beverage, however, is a Scottish Export Ale, which isn’t bad at 5%. It’s called Gone To Plaid, but don’t look that up when trying to guess my whereabouts, you cheaters!

I'm having a Rodenbach Grand Cru now. It's a Flanders Red Ale aged in oak foeders. Abundant sour cherries. Wifey would really love this one, shame she's taking a nap. It's ok, I got two. This one really deserves its BA rating of World Class.

Today’s delicious lunch beer is courtesy of @Ocalafox - Captain’s Daughter DIPA:

Poured at 53°. A rare (imo) example of when Mosaic plays well with other hops (Chinook and Citra). I haven’t had this beer in at least 5 years…it’s delicious…I need to update my old review and elevate my score, deservedly so…in the meantime, I’m going to enjoy this stellar beer - thanks Vann!

Just had a brief chat with a gentleman from Cushwa who came over from their lunch because he liked my Ocelot shirt. On to their light (3.2%) lager, though they have a separately marked “light American lager” that is about a percent higher.

This one was weird at first and then started growing on me. Re-checking the menu, I forgot about the Montueka dry hopping, and I think that’s what threw me.

Up now is Stone W00tstout. First things first, damn that's strong. But it's a fairly complex one, too. Chocolate, pecan nuttiness and a really nice bourbon flavor. I rated it 4.43, well above its BA average of 4.15.

Amateur comic thing. All in French. Miss Raul tried to explain a joke to me, and it alerted the comic performing. She said something to me. I had no idea what she said. So I replied, “I don’t speak French.” People laughed, and then I added, “I just came for the beer.” It got some laughs. Go Raul. I have no idea what this beer was:

Finally a proper beer. It’s called Sabetz or something. And they called it a “French artisanal beer  I think it’s a hoppy lager:

I'm back for an early beer and found a gem for German pilsner style fans. This is a collab between Reformation Brewery and Wild Heaven Beer called All Hail The Home Run King 4.4% ABV. It's a tribute to major league baseball legend "Hammering" Hank Aaron. I was very surprised by this because neither of these breweries are well know for lagers. Features Liberty hops. Hits all the marks. Medium body. Bread flour aroma with a slight floral note. Grainy, biscuity flavor with nice spicy hops. Dry, finishing clean and snappy. Probably should have scored it higher, but didn't want to go overboard. It just occured to me as I write this that they intentionally targeted the ABV at 4.4% for Aaron's number 44. Well crafted. Man, Total Wine in Alpharetta, GA had a stack of it. It's a shame so few beer drinkers these days appreciate a well made pilsner. This one will hit the spot for a steamy August day in the South! Cheers all!
