Good day BAs! Well, I woke up at 0440 to the strains of "Pressed Rat and Warthog" - Mrs Lizard couldn't sleep and had moved to the living room couch where she was snoring away while Alexa tried to entertain her. Much as I liked Cream, they aren't good to induce sleep. The day is starting off dark and lightly foggy. Today's New Breakfast Beer:



Overall, like a good poison, mostly odorless and tasteless. Rating 3, rDev -21.7%.

 

@Danmullens1 - How did the Broken Bat Brewing "Can of Corn" turn out for you? Your beef and giardiniera discussion yesterday has me on track for a stop at Caputo's this weekend for a pound of beef and Italian bread, always a good call. I always keep Giardiniera on hand (see below).

Just cracked open a new to me beer from a brewery which opened up a few blocks from me yesterday. Starting my notes for the rating, will likely create the New Beer Weekend thread shortly.

Stoked about Saturday Morning Flashback covering 1983 in a few hours.

 

I was in a rush at the store after work yesterday and purchased some amazing Stouts and this. Solid for sure, but honestly I was hoping for more. Cheers to Saturday and my morning beer.

Tavour keeps selling this one, so I figured I better open one I already bought to see if further purchases are worth it. Initial tastes are positive, but it’s a damn big bottle....

I know Friday is metal day around here, but I just ordered a t-shirt from band one below because one of their albums inspired the lead singer of band two below for his stage name. Chris Jericho is easily the best pro wrestler/metal singer ever, although there’s not much competition. Will get to see his band and do a meet and greet with him in a few weeks.

 

Going to Belmont Old Home Day and kids will be throwing balls at a target trying to get me wet. One more before and then you will see me out on the lake, because one of my best friends has a boat on Winnisquam lake.

Hey BA's - and happy Saturday - digging the cooler, less humid weather today....took Miss Emma across the continental / watershed divide this morning (i.e., drove a few miles north), to walk at Cascade Valley Metropark and take a dip in the coffee brown Cuyahoga river - lots of rain overnight, so river is running high...Emma dug it
