    Good Morning Beer Advocates!

    Something nice and easy to kick off the day and thread. Many of you cherish Oktoberfest beers as we approach Fall, but for me, I'd trade all the Oktoberfests in the world for solid Kolsch beers. In my neck of the woods, Dovetail's version brewed in Chicago, and New Glarus' version available only over the northern state border are my two preferences near home, Morning Joe when in Vegas.

    Hoping the newer breweries around here will throw their hat into the Kolsch ring. Any Kolsch recommendations you have are greatly appreciated.

    Should be returning here later today with my local bar serving up $2.50 Apex Predator 12 oz drafts, a Chicago beer you should try to track down if given the chance.

    Tribute to New Glarus Wisconsin with this 1983 tune brewed by the Violent Femmes just up the road in Milwaukee.

    Good morning BAs! I took yesterday off as a cleanse day. Now, it’s coffee time - FBS:

    Bottled 6/2/21. Poured at 52°. The coffee is vibrant and roasty bitter. I had to leave the RV yesterday with the mechanic overnight…nothing too major - new tires, alignment, and brake adjustment…should be ready later today. Cheers and have a great day y’all!

    Took the day off to hang with the kids before school starts next week. The Mrs didn’t tell me the alarm was set for 6:30 to help them be ready for early wake ups. Oh well.

    I should state that I’m on Korean but my wife is. So I’m trying out whatever Korean craft beers I can find while I’m here. I’ll admit that I’ve been somewhat disappointed this far!

    When I was stationed there back in 69/70 (or so) the only Korean beer we had access to was OB. :rolling_eyes:. Anyway, welcome to the virtual bar. Open 24/7 and you'll never know who's the bartender.

    Chillin' this morning after another 7+ mile run. Felt good, kept saying "huh..." during the run, expecting the worst, bruising pain, anything. Good to go.

    I'd never heard of a Jaffa Cake before. This BA Stout from Bottle Logic is inspired by said cake. Not outstanding, but pretty darn good.
