I'm with ya but a lot of riders are surprised when riding the Clermont hills west of Orlando. The Horrible Hundred route has over 6,000' of climbing.....but yeah nothing like the 6 gap ride out of Dahalonga GA, Cheers.

I have been to Florida so many times, and I would have never imagined that, hence my joke. That is impressive! More so because it’s on your day off! Keep on cycling! Cheers!

Some day, maybe. It’s yet to be determined. If we make it, I’ve got a few beers for you, if you want them. Cheers!

You're totally right, if you don't venture west of Orlando you'd not know the hills were there. One this to note is the scale is about 0 - 350 feet vs the 6 gap ride where the scale would be 1,800 - 3,800 vertical feet of climbing, 6-7 mile long switchback climbs that I grind up at 5-6 miles per hour.....that's brutal. Cheers and may your college teams win today!

I have actually been west of Orlando, your explanation sheds light in why there were so many orange trees!
ps-My college team win, that is far fetched (my wife’s on the other hand), but who knows weirder things have happened! Cheers!

Good day Advocates and thanks @mschrei for opening today's purpose-built beer session! Getting primed with this landlord of a beer. Next time I'll grab oatmeal stout for a little change up. Full day of yardwork in front of me now and I got a new 25cc gas powered trimmer. Super fun. So, I was in Ireland 20 yrs ago today. Remember our fallen Americans and all 9/11 victims and keep on smiling! Cheers!
There's beer in them thar hills!

Howdy folks - keepin it low key and NA today.
Got my long 16 mile run in this morning, and let me tell ya, I could feel each and everyone of those biggish beers from last night. Not a fun, "light" run this morning, so I need to plan those evenings a bit better. Just got too excited when I saw fresh hop, Burl, and Heady all in the same fridge space yesterday. Lesson learned (?) - yeah, probably not.:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Cheers to y'all - at least I got some more UA Watermelon Gose. Refreshing on a hot day here (95? Jeebus). I'll throw in a little tribute song about today - one of the few I can stomach...

Pregaming at NoFo Brew Co. waiting to watch UGA. This was interesting. Way of the Warrior Rice Lager. Not going to blow you away. But has a nice floral aroma with a citrus note in there. Light body, snappy clean dry finish. At 3.8% ABV, perfect tailgate brew. Cheers!

3 New to me 4+ IPAs this week
    Little Sip | Lawson’s
    | IPA | 6.2% | Vt
    4.35/5 rDev +4.1%
    look: 4 | smell: 4 | taste: 4.5 | feel: 4.5 | overall: 4.5
I rate this as highly as the #6 DIPA on BA, SOS. Because it’s so much flavor in a 6.2% affordable beer.
    a) Gold deep, slight haze, lasting head and lace.
    s) Floral, pine, grass, sun-baked herbs.
    t) follows to add citrus, bread (marmalade on toast).
    f) As good, smooth, crisp and mouth pleasing as IPAs get.
    o) Master 6% ABV beer.

    Broken Skull | El Segundo | IPA | 6.7% | CA
    4.28
    /5 rDev +2.6%
    look: 3.75 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 4.5 | feel: 4.5 | overall: 4.5
2d beer from brewer. As clean an IPA as you will find. Lovely every day, but sharp, bitter brew.
    a) Mostly clear golden body, with thinnish head and lace.
    s) Tame aroma, but clean with bright sunshine, grass, cali coast wild herb aromas.
    t) Big burst of pine, sunshine, sun-baked wild herbs.
    f) As clean and crisp as any IPA - 4.5 feel.
    o) A true favorite.

    McGurk Effect | Carton | NEIPA | 7.5% | NJ
    4.03
    /5 rDev 0%
    look: 4.25 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 4 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 4.25
1st Review. Drinking it fresh at its debut at Carton.
    a) Looks murky and throwing scads of lace over a grapefruit pulpy body.
    s) tame compared w the bitter storm that follows. Besides hops some nuts.
    t) Big bittering impactful hoppy bomb: citrus centered, puckery bite.
    f) Astringent, to a great degree.
The McGurk effect is a perceptual phenomenon which happens when a person perceives that the movement of another individual’s lips do not match up with what that individual is actually saying.
