I've been up since 3AM to begin smoking two Boston butt roasts (using wood from our apple tree that lost a big limb last year)...

Up at 3 am to smoke some meat? That's dedication, @beergoot.
    Hope you enjoy the results!
I got up at 6 am and am now making some vegan cheese for later today. This involves cashews, nutritional yeast, and some other ingredients.
    Enjoying this beer.

[IMG] Started off with a crowler from yesterday from a new to me Kalamazoo brewery. Gifted to me by a cousin who works there. Fruit Ridge wheat, not a bad beer but not a good one.
[IMG] Moving right on to a “Sunlit” lime rice lager from my HOMES brewery trip the other day. This one I like. Cheers.

One of the last out of code beers I have, the light head is not the beer's fault, it's my fault.

This is a great beer fresh!

Catching up on prior threads and have a few responses:

@GreenBayBA - Loved your Brewers video. My young nieces were horrified when I pledged to do this if the Brewers reached the playoffs in 2007 (narrator - they did not). I didn't pledge the following season, they year they finally made it. Hope they play the Sox in the World Series, wouldn't be so bad if the Sox lost as I'd be happy for the Brewers / Brewers fans.

@Danmullens1 - Keep posting those great Bluegrass tunes, miss the weekly Bluegrass show on my local college (mostly) Jazz station.

@sportscrazed2 - Golf is enjoyable, but can also be costly and difficult. We used to regularly golf in our 20s, but this was the first time my former group got back together since COVID, so it was fun. Hope to get out more often in the future. Also crazy your local brewer won't carry their popular beer (New Oberfalz).

@ATL6245 - Need to grab a Ayinger Pils, I also love their Dunkel and Celebrator is one of my favorite beers of any style.

@b9d9 - Cool we had the same beer Saturday (Ayinger Jahrhundert Bier). The Chicago Sting had many great German players including Karl Heinz Granitza and Arno Steffenhagen. Franz Beckenbauer was/is a legend, but unfortunately he played for the Cosmos.

Pregaming musically for the Grateful Dead hour.

Thanks, Dick. And I'm not above smoking some veggies, either...at least veggies don't take anywhere near the time...but I find the all-day smoking adventure (regardless of what's in the smoker) is always conducive to beer time...

Standing Hollow. DDH DIPA from PRIZM (Vendargues, France).
I was surprised to see our supermarket has a selection of beers from this small brewery near Montpellier.
@Shanex I can this one when you see it.
    Cheers all!

Some classic French blues. Subtitles in Arabic too, because of historical meaning of this tune I believe.

[IMG] I’ve been eager to try this brewery for quite sometime but they get no distribution near me. From Arvon Brewing is Fruit Puff. A delicious mixed berry sour with vanilla and granola. I really like this one. Cheers.

Heard about this brewery, might have tried it but don’t remember it meaning that this maybe wasn’t an outstanding experience.

Many of these craft French breweries and their products certainly are good and sometimes great, just a bit expensive. Cheers!

“Je ne regrette rien” is basically a song from Edith Piaf about the Algerian war which might explain the Arabic subtitles.

Yeah they told me they distribute locally but avoid too many people coming in and crowding the bar for carry out or whatever. I guess it kinda makes sense but don’t you like money? How many people are gonna try and buy it be told “go to a liquor store” and just not follow up?

Same here with small breweries. And wide quality variation in their products too. Beer like this is nice to try once. Most classics give way better value for money.
Thanks for giving some background on this Piaf song.
    Cheers!
