Good afternoon, advocates! Settling in with a can of Heady. I feel exactly the same as John. Sometimes I wish I could crawl right into the can. Cheers!

Having another Heady Topper, advocates. I'm in that zone where I keep saying wow after each sip. Sheer perfection. Peace...

Low key legendary. Best paired with a pork roll egg and cheese and a window off the track in the door job

I keep hearing about this "cold front" that is suppose to come into the Houston area, but its still almost 100 out ugh.

Saint Arnold H-Town Pils will help while I wait for the temps to cool...

...a nice, cool day...did some community service by helping with trimming bushes in a street divider alley to our neighborhood (Jim's Garden), then worked on a marinade for some beef country ribs tonight (I'll probably use up the rest of the porter-based BBQ sauce I made a couple of days ago)...easy into some afternoon suds and maybe getting a little reading done...

That’s a bold statement if I’ve ever heard one. I’d love to try it some day.

Alright, new brewery to me, from the Burbs but they plopped a second location here.

They are out of the Oktoberfest, so I went with their flagship IPA.

    Ravinia Brewing Steep Ravine

    Bar notes:
6.7% ABV, Flagship IPA w/ Citra & Chinook. 13 oz draft pour into a type of glass I’ve seen for imperial stouts (wide base, short, narrow rim).

Appearance: Clear bright tan base, creamy bright white head leaves generous lacing. 3.75

    Aroma:
Caramel malt, lemon citrus. Mild in strength. 3.25

    Taste:
Pithy pine, lemon and citrus, malt subdued which I appreciate. Good. 3.5

    Mouthfeel:
Dry, lightly bitter, thin body, malt emerges as the pour warns, drinks at ABV, clean finish. 3.75

    Overall:
This is a good IPA, malt nominal but backs pine bitter hops well. Nothing Earth shattering, but would order without reservation in the future. 3.75

Two from The Clash on two for Tuesday, debating the second song for one or or off to somewhere else.
