I told @Shanex that I had a “special” European beer to open lolz. This single can has been in the fridge at my work for a while, and Raul decided, “Why not?” They changed the recipe recently, right? So let’s dome a quart of beer!

Full review in the New Beer Weekend thread, long story short, it's a single hop (Strata) which I really enjoyed, dank, balanced, bursts with aroma and flavor, highly enjoying and going out later to grab more.

1981 the featured year later this morning. I'll close this post with a few final tunes from 1996/97, my favorite two from the show last Saturday.

 

I waited until October to have my first Oktoberfest, because I sometimes take things too literally...

I think those days are gone, but I'm hoping to contribute a few posts to help in the effort as the day progresses. Sipping a second pour of my New Beer Weekend (NBW) beer - Equal Marriage by a quite new DC brewer, City-State Brewing. It's actually still tasting pretty good despite a potentially less-than-ideal Crowler pour.
