Mexican craft Kolsch. Kinda hard to tell who's making it and where it is actually made, as I see the name of too many breweries and locations on the label and on Untappd. But it tastes good.

 

Good afternoon BAs! First beer/alcohol in almost 8 days…starting with, naturally, a Jai Alai:



Ahhh…that hits the spot! My shoulder surgery (3 torn tendons/ 4 anchors, inter alia) went well Wednesday morning. I weaned myself off of the narcotics ahead of schedule yesterday, and today I’m comfortable with RX strength Aleve…Cheers y’all!

 

All day off chores done and now it's time for more new-to-me Veil offerings.

Canned 09/27/21.

Moderate to vigorous pour yields a one inch white head over a murky golden body with some lacing.
Nose of tropical fruit, some sweet citrus, and a bit of some floral attributes as well.
Taste is citrus with a tad tropical fruit with citrus pith bitterness from middle to end while finishing dry.
Good feel, but hoped for a little more.
Overall, a decent stab at a New England IPA.

This is about as basic a beer as you'll find anywhere and it's much better than I expected.

6.1% abv.

Moderate pour yields a one inch plus white head over a very cloudy golden body with sticky lacing.
Nose of citrus and pine.
Taste mirrors nose closely with a fairly dry and bitter finish of pine with a slight bitterness of citrus pith.
Nice feel of about medium carbonation.
Overall, another nice IPA from Veil.

Another lager, also quite tasty, Haymarkets Chicago Tavern Beer, about as basic a beer as you'll find anywhere, fortunately, it's better than most.

I just finished up some yard work for me and our neighbor. Now I’m relaxing with an oldish J.A. still tastes pretty good

My son had to put his 15 year old cat, Buster, down today. I feel bad for him, the cat was his constant companion. Buster also was a frequent guest at our house when my son traveled for work or when him and his family traveled. He was a pretty nice cat. Cheers Buster.
