Good afternoon, advocates. Getting into it with some Sip of Sunshine. Never gets old. Much love, and cheers!

A late night sipper this sunny afternoon - BA Q.O.R.I.S. The Quasher:

Poured at 59°. I like boozy (15.7%) and I like the 250ml ( 8.45oz ) format…nevertheless, the whole is unbalanced and phenolic; boozy chocolate pudding nose w/bourbon retro nasal. Taste is black licorice, chocolate and sweet plums, followed by mild roast bitterness. Long lasting boozy linger…I like boozy, but this RIS is too much…maybe if I were drinking this beer at the end of a long day, before bedtime, I’d enjoy it more…Cheers!

2nd brew of the day is SNBC Torpedo Extra IPA. Went out looking for Celebration earlier in the week which i did not find but came across the new variety IPA pack that includes "Atomic" Torpedo which is of DIPA caliber. Torpedo is always solid and i love SNBC's consistency and the Chico yeast strain!
    Cheers,

Good afternoon BA's! I decided to revisit a classic I haven't had in a while. It's a bright, breezy but cool afternoon in North GA. Perfect fall afternoon for a big Weizen Doppelbock from Schneider Weisse. This checks in at 8.2%. A unique combo of Hefe aroma/flavor plus roasted malt notes. Thick, creamy head that lingers for a while. The nice thing about these is you can store them in a cool location for months and still enjoy them. Cheers all!

15% wow! That's not even legal for beer in GA. You know, I like the idea of higher ABV (>10%) BA stouts in a smaller package. Yesterday, I almost bought some local BBA in pint plus bottles, but I passed because I didn't want to waste $12 plus per bottle. I can rarely drink a larger size in one sitting, getting too old I guess, and they are never as good the next day if you cork/plug them. I'd drink more BBA beers if they came in a small single package.

I've never tried that one. Curious what was disappointing about it.

You just reminded me. I have passed on a local Grisette a few times. I need to give this one a try. Cool thing is, they use locally grown wheat. The ones I've seen at the bottle shops have some age on them. Not sure how they hold up.

Advocates, I had an epiphany. I really like IPAs. I mean, truly. I love them. Haha! Peace...

Yeah, I don't know how well they 'age', but they are a nice, light, refreshing change of pace from heavier beers...

Home early again (not complaining). Sitting back and enjoying a Copper Legend, an Octoberfestbier from Jack's Abbey Craft Lagers in Framingham, Mass. Honestly, a bit bitter to my taste, but I still thought it best to serve it up in style.
