Good afternoon BA's. Today's first choice is a NEIPA from Boojum, a local from the WNC region. They used a lot of different hop varieties in this one (El Dorado, Equinox, Huell Melon, Mosaic, and Idaho 7) which leads to a more balanced and less sweet beer for the style. Definitely one i will return to in the future!

For what? I finally found some Utopias BA World Wide Stout, at the place I am enjoying this Sierra Nevada brew.

I don’t search out beers tooo often any more (says the guy who drove to VT for Focal and Heady ), but my radar was set for UBA WWS for a few weeks. In the end, I found it at the place I frequent, so little effort was actually expended. Therefore, it can’t really be “not worth the effort;” worth the cost might be a different story. We’ll see.

 

Just letting my rods & cones absorb the brilliant but short-lived colors this fall. Always awesome! Founders Scarlet Dawn has an incredible candied mango nose right outa the can. I don't mind using the fantastic elastic plastic cup walkin' around out in the yard. Cheers Advocates!

Smoked Porter from Alaskan Brewing (2013) pairing with a read I have left some time ago.

This Alaskan Porter is rather awesome stuff. I was afraid it would not keep that good since it is somewhat low on the alc by vol. And was not stored in cellar conditions.
Still have another bottle. Think I'll better leave that one alone for som more years.

Man, this weather sucks in N. GA. About 45°F, rainy, drizzly. That damp, bone chilling cold. I miss summer already! Oh, well. Continuing my Belgian Abby Ale theme, saved the strong one for last. St. Bernardus Abt 12 10% ABV. Complex malt backbone. Mild aromas. Mild bitterness. Time to warm up a bit. Cheers all!
