    Good Morning @Shanex @beergoot and all. This is my last non-cellar beer packaged from the Winter. Nearing my goal inventory of 24-30 or so drink fresh (0 - 45 days) beers on hand at anytime, while slowly but surely working through the cellar as well.

    Drinking Empire Local Grind Scotch Ale after spreading 6.5 tons of gravel on my driveway. Fortunately, I didn't stroke out.....yet!

    look: 4.5 | smell: 4 | taste: 4.25 | feel: 4 | overall: 4.25

    Mostly clear, dark brown body, slightly opaque; huge, light khaki colored head, dense creaminess with a rocky, sculpted look. Excellent dark roasted malt smell; suggestion of dark chocolate. Light chocolate sweetness to the taste; cocoa; mild hop bitterness, more noticeable at the finish. Medium body; smooth and velvety on the palate; predominantly sweet, mildly so, with a soft dryness to balance things out.

    This is a fine black lager. The double decoction method is noticeable, especially with the rich flavor and heavenly mouthfeel. A most enjoyable dark lager.

    Poured at 48 °F; no canning date noted on the label or can.
