What beer are you drinking now? #3316

American Solera Pale Ale, this sixer got buried from my Tulsa Beer Run. Got clear some, we are Heading down to New Orleans for Thanksgiving week in a few days. Had this rental moved twice due to Covid, its happening come hell or highwater.

 

I'm getting cans in Texas and it don't seem right.

Another Magnify Vine Shine but in a different glass this time.

I find this exaggerated variation of the tulip brings out more of the piney-ness of the beer and less of the fruit. It also produces higher carbonation across the pallet due to the smaller opening but at the same time lazer focusing the aromatics.

This was the beer that started me into extreme beers. Back in 1999 with the first brewer this one blew my mind. Back then it was inconsistent in ABV, but almost always over 10%. This at 9.6%reminds a little of 4 month old Bigfoot and that is a good thing.

 

So sorry to hear about your friend. The older I get the more I realize any of us could go at any time and it hits closer to home.
