Starting off my Saturday with a big one. True Anomaly Densified Propellant, Bourbon Barrel aged Imperial Stout at 13.7% ABV. Review over at the NBW thread. Oh my, this is flat, and all Ethanol booze. Not liking this one. Too bad, always one of my favorite breweries around Houston. No worries, I have a Wheels Up Saison that I'm saving for Thanksgiving weekend and is one of my favorite American Saison's. Can't hit em all unfortunately.

Back to the dark side (and I don’t mean the darkness that the dreamland of a nap brings, @JamFuel )



Been sitting in the fridge for a while, and the can indicates it is 8 months old. Has a more basic stout impression to it, with a hint of sweetness that is covered by but not drowned out by a roasty bitterness. Get a hint of coconut in that sweet note, and I don’t think I’m imagining it - it’s not a very fresh coconut for sure.

 

Nice post, I have to tell you I read the first part too quickly and I thought it said super laxative hahaha. Cheers!
