Leaf cleanup is complete. Now my family won't be judging me when they come over tomorrow. Well, they'll probably judge me for something else. Just kidding, they're alright most of the time. New one: Brooklyn Winter IPA.
First Celebration of the year.

Wife’s parents are in town for tomorrow’s festivities, but I’ve got to work until 6:30. So, late start will be had, I figure I’ll enjoy myself this few days and start back on my healthier route Friday!
Dog’s are midday snoozing— fine by me… they’ve been wrastlin’ all morning.
Athena is in her play pen and is 1/4 on the actual dog bed, the rest the floor…A for effort I guess.

Anchor Brewing Co. -- Our Special Ale - 2021 (winter warmer)

Nearly black mahogany brown body, pretty much opaque in nature; fine, thick head, dense and creamy, tan in color; thick, sticky rings of foam circle the glass. Rich, spicy aroma infused with notes of spruce and wood; dark bread crust scent. Big dark malt taste with an underpinning of pine and holiday spice; molasses; moderate hop bitterness. Heavy body; fairly dense residual sugar presence; chewy; a touch of dryness accentuates the overarching sweet mouthfeel.
This edition has a rock solid winter warmer taste and appearance. Neither the sweetness nor spiciness are overpowering and the mouthfeel is fantastic.
Poured at 50 °F
Drinking Kane's Saturday Night Lights, received from @MacMalt in NBS BIF #14. This is very sweet, but very tasty. The name made me think of this song:

And I swear I've heard this somewhere before, but I can't find mention of it on a soundtrack and I have no idea where I might have heard it before.

New Belgium Future Hops Imperial IPA. Guess the beer of the future is going to be strong enough to end my day too soon. Not bad, but I like to savor strong beers and I didn't find much cause to pause and contemplate. New hops for me, but not really a new experience.

Pure happenstance, today I was looking into one Mr. Wallace Hartley, a violinist / bandleader on the Titanic.
