Good day BAs! Thanks @Shanex for starting us off today. Our snow is mostly gone as well but we had enough for the deer hunters to track for a few days. Mrs. Shanex is working from home while you drink beer and watch TV - enjoy that while it lasts!

Today's New Breakfast Beer is another from @Roy_Hobbs and NBS BIF #14:



Seems to me to be coffee masquerading as beer - sorry Ross, this doesn't do it for me - rating 3.3, rDev -19.1%.

Drinking Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald Porter. This is just a damn good Porter, I
can't believe I've past it by for so long. I got an early start today with some work
outside, hopefully this is the last of the leaves.

One of my usual morning pulpy-fruit N/A beers from UA...

And while "someone" here knows this already, I signed up for the Leadville 100(mi) run for next year. *Gulp* - mid-life crisis? Probably. But I've had this bug now for months, and just need to have a goal, train for it, and do my best. So, the usual disclaimer applies: I'll need your help, support, and of course beer-heckles to get there. No one does this "alone."

Dude! An awesome and large goal! Just great. Personally I run when I can for fun & fitness but since I've overdone it a few times I know for a fact that cross training is important. I see that you concentrate on trail action and I mainly do roads but either way bicycling, leg extensions reps, roman chair reps, a few minutes on the Teeter inversion table, push ups & sits ups (core building) really helped and practically eliminated IT Band syndrome and lower back fatigue/pain. Plus finding awesome shoes specific to my needs (which aren't much but neutral plush midsole)....but you probly already know all this! Your miles and action inspire me to forge ahead with increased frequency and for my own shorter distance goals. I send you good vibes!! Power on friend! Leadviile!!

 

I haven't tried this yet, but think I have a can or two lurking somewhere in the house. I'll have to give it a try soon to see what I think. I've never had a cup of coffee in my life, so it's somewhat ironic that I don't mind coffee forward beers.

 

I'm psyching myself up to fix a leaky window and re-caulk it. My wife is betting I'll call in a pro.

Hello Advocates! Thanks @Shanex for opening up todays thread. Great to be here. Having a turtle beer with Turtle Cat before doing an oil X. I'm having a small surgical procedure tmrw getting a little lump removed from my back. It's directly over my spine btwx my shoulder blades and I'm told to not have much physical activity for 2 weeks so the stitches can mend. No drumming, running, truck work, etc. Still gonna have 2-3 brews today!!
