Good day BAs! Woke up to just enough snow this morning to cover everything - streets, ground, parked cars, etc. Dark and chilly. Today's New Breakfast Beer is from NBS BIF #14 and @Roy_Hobbs, a delicious Biere de garde aged on cherries:

Nicely tart and smooth with cherry notes - rating 4.18, rDev -6.3%. Thanks Ross - this'll go on my watch list!

Three posts? Oh, man! I’m on vacation, so I would contribute right now, but considering I have a ton of chainsawing to do, maybe not a good idea:

Taking a break from work to bottle my homebrewed Timothy Taylor Landlord. Just sampled some to see how it tastes, so, technically, I'm drinking!

Side note, I cracked one of my four bottles of Celebrator Doppelbock last night. I always buy a four pack at this time of year. That beer is so damn good! Highly encourage everyone to go grab some and enjoy it on a chilly night.

Imprint Beer Co. x Split Theory Coffee Co. -- Origins: Single Origin Wush Wush
    Maple Caramel Chocolate Coffee Stout

Sourced: through the good graces of @jzeilinger

The beer poured out a dark brown color, looking black in the glass; brown head, rich, thick, and spongy. Strong milk chocolate and cocoa smell; subliminal coffee notes. Sweet chocolate and cocoa flavors with a healthy dose of coffee bitterness; maple syrup. Heavy body; smooth and velvety; big residual sugar mouthfeel.

This is a well-crafted imperial coffee stout. It has killer looks and great all-around smell, taste and mouthfeel.

Upslope Grand Reserve bourbon barrel aged. OG Batch 1000 strong ale aged for 4 years producing a hefty 21% abv. This may be the most memorable beer I've had in years? Breathtaking alcohol up front followed by sticky sweet dark fruit, vanilla, burnt brown sugar. A nutty and woody finish. Superb!

Good afternoon BA's. Woke up to some rain this morning in WNC but this has morphed into a sunny 50-degree day.
Today's choice is from Drake's in Cali which somehow made its way to WNC and landed at a gas station in Asheville that carries some really nice beers. Nice old school WC DIPA, big bodied and full of alpha hops!

Listening to Sirius XM Lithium's non-DJ station. Always enjoyed the energy of this song!

Elder Pine Brewing Co. -- Pliable Foe
    Coffee dark mild
3.8% ABV; pouring temperature: 47 °F; canning data: nothing noted

    3.6/5 rDev -7.7%
    look: 3.5 | smell: 4 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 3.25 | overall: 3.5

Moderately dark yet clear brown body; good carbonation; thin head, bordering on wispy. Weak coffee aroma predominates; light bit of roasted grain underneath. Weak coffee taste upfront; light, watery malt sweetness; coffee bitterness. Light body; gentle sweetness; touch of dryness.

This is an okay beer, drinkable yet ultimately unremarkable. Coffee highlights nearly everything, so if you're big on coffee beers, this is one to try.

Lost Cosmonauts, an American IPA from English Brewery North (6%).

This makes for quite a fruity American IPA with a great bitterness and resinous accents, as well as some distinct citrus and tropical notes.

On to beer #2 and going with SNBC's Atomic Torpedo which is a quaffable DIPA. I never tire of the Chico yeast strain and the consistent quality. And the price is usually pretty nice around here as i was able to grab the Hoppy 12 pack for $13.99 from my local grocer.

Hump Daaaaay! Westheimer Premium Pilsner 5.1% ABV. Very good German Pilsner. A little lighter bodied and a little less bitter than day Ayinger Bavarian Pilsner, but sold beer. Germans really know how to brew!

$6.99 for 4 pints of a solid German Pils? No, you cannot beat that. I love German beers and my brain has not even considered checking out the beer selection at Aldi! Duh! Thanks for mentioning that in your post. Prost!
