American Tradition.

 

This collaboration between Heist Brewing and More Brewing just doesn't do it for me. The rather eccentric hop bill creates a clash of sweet, tropical fruit and earthy cannabis and pine. It's like drinking two distinct beers. It's not up to Heist's usual quality. Couldn't finish it.


Now this is more like it! Freak Parade from Drekker. The Vic Secret, El Dorado, and Mosaic play well together. And it's held up remarkably well for having been canned in early November. Cheers!

 

The farthest I run is to the bathroom.

Special Herbs from Upright.

375ml bottle served in a footed pilsner. I don't see a date on it. Left about half an inch in the bottle.

Pours a beautiful crystal clear brass / bronze color with a medium sized head that settles quickly into a fairly generous ring and a couple clumps.

Smell is fruity -- apricot, peach, maybe white wine grapes, kind of tart, slight funk.

Taste is slightly fruity along the same lines -- maybe more grape or grape must flavor, maybe something vaguely herbal.

Mouthfeel is very light, very clean, very smooth, very dry. Overall, this is a very good beer.

Back home from the river after renting a cottage Thursday until today with family. Unseasonably warm but fog most of the time obscuring the view of the water. Bummer.
