Side note, I have had this Andrew Hill record for many years. Its a great find, if you come across it, and always cheep. You can find the original for like $5 at any good record store.

Anyway, just found the Arista/Freedom label catalog in the album cover. For all these years, I didn't know it was there till now ha. I love finding these things, and wish I could could still send away for some Albert Ayler/Don Cherry albums, or Cecil Taylor albums. I wonder if I send this back to Taylor's estate if they would still respond? It was his original label he started after all

Well, @Blogjackets my suspicions were correct from last week…

Sore throat turned into full blown “you aren’t leaving the couch” Covid-19 symptoms. Wife got sick too. Symptoms all lined up with Omicron variant though. My muscles and body felt like I had been in a car crash. The weirdest lower back pain ever and I was so tired it was ridiculous. Shit kicked my ass. A small spontaneous cough and some minor nasal congestion is all that remains.

But feeling about 90% better so, had some ramen delivered for the wife and I.

I understand. My household consisted of my wife and two daughters. Too much estrogen at times. But it all worked out.

 

Kind words indeed. Cherish the time with your children, good, bad or indifferent. It goes by in a blink of an eye. One day you’ll be 67 and remembering the time your daughter from age 14 to 19 thought you were Satan because you were breathing the same air as her. Now I kind of miss the abuse.

Wife and I like the O’ Charley’s by us. Next to it is a hotel. Many a time we would get a room at the hotel and chow down at O’ Charley’s. They usually had at least one or two awesome brews on tap at reasonable prices.
