Post work beer….A 2016 Only Void from Tired Hands. I suppose for being nearly 6 years old and non BA…it’s not THAT bad..?

Bottled 11/9/21. Poured at 58°. Delish as always…the walk earlier was easy, the temp was 66°…it may hit 80° again today here in SWFL, and more garage work in my immediate future. Cheers y’all and have a great day!

 

Yesterday: So awesome @defunksta to see your review yesterday of the Lake Effect School of Brett Claussenii! Really enjoy your full reviews, hope to see them coming. I've only noted one other Lake Effect Brewing WBAYDN selection (not posted by me, I've had dozens) in my 2 1/2 years participating here.

They are a local brewery, and while I don't love everything they do, it's because they take chances and shoot for the moon, and have brewed some of my all time favorites. Hoping they can open their taproom later this year.

2016 Bourbon County Brand Barleywine Ale



Full treatment in the excellent 2022 Cellar Review thread. Bottom line is these GI Bourbon County Barleywines have held up excellent, really enjoying this today and plan to pull out a 2017 vintage to compare and contrast next Monday. Was light and easy until it began kicking my ass during the second half (have six ounces left).

Will be ambitious getting things done around the house this week, as soon as I take a little nap to recover from this heavy hitter.

Pairs awesomely with fresh baked OG Pillsbury Biscuits!

Canned 12/23/21. Almost juicy, definitely not fluffy, citrus forward, lightly bitter goodness. Rare to get this beer this fresh from our east coast…and loving it! Cheers y’all!

 

Howdy and happy Monday.
After a 9 miler on trails, stretchin' out the old legs this morning after a day off. Not too stiff, but that adductor was still noticeable. Dang. Feels OK< but not completely there.

Canned 12/17/21, so I got a 12pk. As much as I’m a fanboy of this IPA, the “Fresh” by Civil Society earlier was better…still, grateful to have tasty options…Cheers!

 

We bailed on golf today. No one wanted to play when it's 35 degrees with snow flurries,

Trying that Voodoo Ranger Agent 77 for the first time. It's okay and better than others in the series to me. Having one out the can and the next will be in a glass.
