    Pitch black body capped with a light cocoa hued head, thick and semi-creamy in texture. Strong dark roasted grain infused with dark chocolate sweetness and a faint sense of dark roast coffee. The taste follows along the line of the aroma; soothing sweetness; a bit charred grain bitterness. Heavy body; soft and smooth on the palate; dull sweetness offset with minimal alcohol heat.

    Rich and flavorful, complex and balanced.

    Time for a rating and review of this fast little puppy. Funny how I'm just now gettin' around to reviewing a beer I've been drinking since the 1980's. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Good stuff. Next time a 30pk will be the ticket and I do like the taste and feel of it better poured or from the old fountain. Would love to see some pics of Advocate's personal Hamm's breweriana! Cheers!!

    Good afternoon BA's. Another brisk day in Western NC with temps in the mid-40's. Today i am having a Fonta Flora for the first time as they are about an hour or so from me. Trying a WCDIPA and it is hitting my pallet's bitter spot nicely. Looks like they focus on IPA's, Wild Ales, Saisons, and Porters...need to visit there in the near future!

    Had one of these while making lunch. Solid beer for 3.5%. A bit thin but tons of flavor. Blond roast coffee, bread crust/toffee malt, wood tannins, and a crisp finish.

    Sharing a 120 minute IPA with my man while we wait for all the kids to get home from activities...spicy pork loin that cooked in the crockpot all day with sweet potatoes, onion, green pepper, and broccoli, with rice on the side!

    My shoddy attempt at a Belgian dish called Stoemp for lunch. Mashed potatoes blended with mixed greens, and smoked sausage with spicy mustard. And I wasn't ready to crack a Duvel just yet so I paired it with a local Hefeweizen instead.

    Those pies both look amazing!! I love anything nitro. My sweet husband always lets me suck the foam off his nitro beers before he drinks them. Guinness nitro is one of my faves! For sure want to try the GNCB. Cheers!
