We lost an hour of beer drinking today, so I feel like I better come in hot. Kettlehead’s Flagship double dry hopped with Galaxy is pretty darn tasty.

 

Good day BAs! Thanks @ChicagoJ for getting us started on this cool (11 degrees) snowy morning. A 12 oz low alcohol New Breakfast Beer entry for this morning, since I have to retrieve Mrs Lizard from her quilting coven, along with a ton of associated "stuff" in a couple of hours.



A decent pale ale which has held its juiciness for six months in reefer #1. Rating 3.82, rDev -2.3%.

 

Happy Sunday BA's! Normal OT, laundry, grocery shopping complete on this sunny, crisp 34 degree FL morning. Well I guess it was an EF1 tornado that blew threw here yesterday morning. Our area is fine but lots of trees snapped a couple miles from here. All our kids/friends are accounted for and well. Now really enjoying a Bell's Expedition stout while waiting for stage 8 of Paris-Nice cycling race to begin on Peacock.

This song came on my Pandora Black Sabbath station at work today, new to me (song not Primus) but awesome!

 

Kettlehead Mokaya with cookies 8%. Nice flavor, little body, like no retention, and leaves hardly any lace. Heading over to New Beer Weekend to break it down.

 

I always said that if I could get this beer on the regular, it would become my go to breakfast stout. Through the magic of Tavour, I think I have had it more times in the past six months than I have had FBS.

I was going to play something different, but I think I’ll follow @ChicagoJ’s lead and play some more WXRT 1985 Flashback music (Irish/Scottish version).

 

Good morning BAs! Chilly (for SWFL) 40° walk with dogs this morning…they’ve been fed and I’m wrapping my mind around the latest BCB Proprietor’s (2021):



Bottled 10/13/21. Poured at 58°. Strong strawberries nose with just a whiff of bourbon. Very little vanilla and no coconut on the taste. Strawberries yes!, but otherwise a one trick pony lacking any other flavors of substance…It tastes good, but still rather disappointing…

TBBW is wrapping up today, and friends want me to join them at a brewery in Tampa today. I attended another bottle share yesterday until 9pm and sampled several fantastic (and many ok) beers. Today I may just take it easy at home. Cheers y’all and have a super Sunday!

Hey "spring ahead" BA's, and happy last Sunday of winter! Cold here this morning, only 14 when I got up to take the obligatory sunrise pic.....brrrr! Supposed to get up to 42 today, and mid 50's and sunny Monday, so I will take that....all day long!

Your honor, I opened this beer purely to pour 4 ounces of it into the slow cooker corned beef and cabbage dinner. But somebody has to finish the rest, right?

I think I like the second song from Alex Lifeson’s new band more than the first. Almost has a shoegazer vibe to it.

It’s 55° in the shade, but bright sunshine and warming up nicely outside. A bit of a breeze, but otherwise lovely…the dogs and I are out in the backyard enjoying what little remains of our “winter” here, as it will be back into the 80s this week. Cheers y’all!
