    Good afternoon BA's, a nice early spring day here in Western NC. Decided to go for a hike early this morning just south of us near Saluda, NC, along the Green River. My first hike on the Cove trail where the triple canopy jungle was not in full bloom so i had a nice view of the river for most of my 7 miles out and back.
    Enjoying a Burial Brewing DIPA for the first brew today, this one is very well done as the hop bill has about 8 different varieties which results is just a wonderful flavor that i cannot discern any dominant flavor and that right amount of bitterness that lets one know this is a DIPA!
    Listening to SiriusXM today and just heard a classic from Dire Straits; loved that band back in the day!

    Drinking SN Torpedo, this is my frustration with Sierra Nevada. I don't like
    the pale ale in cans, but this is fine. The freshest 12 pack of bottles was from
    9/21. This 12 pack is 2 months old, naturally I get the Torpedo, but I'd really
    like a fresh 12 of SNPA in bottles

    look: 4.25 | smell: 4.25 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 3.75

    This is one beer that could have done better by not staying in the bourbon barrel so long. The peppermint is nicely done, refreshing and unique. However, it the barrel aging is a bit strong and, in my opinion, detracts from the beer as a whole. It is not terrible or undrinkable, but it may have been balanced with less bourbon presence.

    Cloak Of Feathers, a NEIPA from German brewery FrauGruber (8.6%).

    Overall, this makes for an enjoyable example of the style with a good balance of sweet, juicy, and bitter, slightly resinous notes, as well as a great body and mouthfeel.
