Hey advocates. Hoppy Monday and new week!
Speaking of hops, I like to kick off my week with this one, just because it’s pretty low ABV and yet quite flavorful.

    Cheers…!

Good day BAS! Thanks @Shanex for starting today's thread. Today's New Breakfast Beer is sort of local - it's only a six-hour drive mostly on interstate highways:

    A decent doppelbock which I'd drink again - rating 3.5, rDev -10.7%.

Drinking Stella Artois at an easily identified chain restaurant. Grabbed Stella cause @Shanex said he wanted one yesterday

I wanted one yesterday, and I still want one today. Missus and me have switched to Champagne this evening and I cannot share it here. At least sharing the dramatic sight of an empty Stella glass:

    Howdy all!

Back in the saddle here, and on feet again, after a 10K tempo run this morning.
Still fatigued from Saturday...but was able to move my dawgs so felt alright.

Usual NA UA suspect here; chocolate taste companion for my little banana-peanut butter toast snack. Pretty darn good...

    Cheers
    !

    Good evening Advocates,
always a pleasure to have some time to read something interesting.
Here I'm sending you something I have done no more than three times in my life, but I had these two things...
It's not an excuse, but I wanted to do it:
Mister B (ITA) - BEEGNÈ - Imperial Pastry Stout (10%)
Inspired by the typical dessert filled with custard (or chocolate or zabaglione) that is baked or fried.
    33 cl can
    "Best before: January 2023"
On the nose immediately notes of chocolate and lactic / creamy.
As soon as it is poured it is black with dark brown reflections.
Little foam, but more than I expected: creamy, sweet (almost sugary).
Full body in the mouth, extreme density.
Tasted before the cake the main notes are those of dark chocolate and hazelnut, all with a sweet lactic base, which reminded me more of whipped cream than custard.
Obviously, it gives the idea of being a mix of ingredients (and extracts) far from being defined beer, but all in all it did not come out as cloying or "artificial" as others (see some of Lervig, not necessarily Imperial Pastry Stout ... there are more lactose/vanilla extract jobs that actually turned out to be quite cloying. Unlike most of Mike's production).
Sweet finish, but not cloying. Alcohol content very masked in taste, no ethyl notes emerge.
I took two sips to accompany the Sacher cake, which with her sweetness (obviously) impacted the taste of the beer which seemed to me to have more notes of coffee and even licorice, always maintaining a sense of "whipped cream" in the background.

    Lost Lager from Brewdog.
The Stella glass is a 'souvenir' from one of the ferry crossings from the UK  Nice large glass. It has some engraving at the bottom that creates a swirl. Just like a Duvel glass.
    Cheers!

    G'afternoon BA's!

Day off from work to spend the day with Pops and the family. Went bowling, Pops couldn't since his knee is really bad...I shouldn't have bothered, didn't even break 90!
Back home resting and sipping on this hazy IPA from Free Will. Drowning my sorrows...
