Good morning and happy Saturday all.

Finally. It has taken some time, some research even and that’s ridiculous considering how well known and normally very much available Stella Artois is but here we go.

@tolar111 I don’t mess around, when I want a specific beer I never give up.

Weather is pretty much dreary though we can maybe expect the sky to clear a bit this afternoon and finally getting some sun. Meanwhile it’s about brunch time and I am sipping on Stella. It’s been many years. Decent little Belgian lager. And as @Todd pointed out in his profile. We need to drink Lager.

    Santé!

Well the sun hasn't risen yet and it's raining, but if you call my name to drink beer, I'll be there. This time with more Pilsner Urquell, in the early eighties it was probably the first hoppy beer I ever had. @Shanex I hope that Stella didn't set you back too much

Thanks tolar111 at least I am not pulling a @JamFuel in this thread and posting tons of beers back to back.

Yes, now onto Duvel Tripel Citra Hop. World class Belgian IPA and in a whole different league than Stella.

After that one and a bit of a mess for a night, I believe that a siesta/nap should be in order.

Good morning! Spent the evening on the couch keeping the sick daughter company. Going to have some of this and then see if I can get another hour or two of sleep. Hope everybody has a great weekend. [IMG]
We all know Prince was a great guitarist, but man, he could play the drums really great too.

Caribbean Haze by Black Hops Brewery, a brewery located on Queensland's Gold Coast here in Oz. It's a double NEIPA brewed with locally distilled spiced rum, and for mine it doesn't quite gel. But I can think of worse things to drink on a beautiful mid-autumn day with no breeze and 27 beautiful degrees celsius (~80F)... Almost makes the second day of COVID-forced isolation bearable!

Cheers all, and enjoy your Saturday!

[IMG] Good morning all. 12 years ago today I was sitting in front of my wife’s computer in the first house and I gave myself the handle SawDog505. No Avatar, no pictures of beers, but just a group of beer enthusiast chatting about beer. West Coast IPAs and stouts were most popular. The vibe was much more of a frat brother mentality. Insults and hurt feelings happened daily in those days. I was bullied as a new guy, maybe a tad enthusiastic at times. Pliny and Kate The Great were 1 and 2 back then. I will talk more later. Great beer here, from a brewery that was around back then. Cheers all.

Drinking Equilibrium MC². This has rapidly become my go to haze, not
cheap, but always fresh on the supermarket shelf. @SawDog505 those
were much different days, proud to take a seat next to you at the VB

Good day all! @Shanex, how did you manage to beat @AzfromOz starting today's thread? And Stella Artois hard to get? It's all over the US and I distinctly remember all the empty Stella and Foster cans littering the London streets in the early morning. Oh well, the past is gone.

For me, the New Breakfast Beer is one I can't believe I've neglected to review - it came out in 2021 and I've sent it in two BIFS (Haul hint) - based on one of my favorite "local" brews:

A very nice RIS, maybe a bit on the thin side. Rating 4.18, rDev +1%.

Dashing through the snow (well, OK, it's a light dusting, but still, it's April 9th). This is an one year old Saison from a great (and sadly soon to move to New Mexico) Brewery.

Full review in the New Beer Weekend #90 Thread. Bottom line, this is one of my new all-time favorite Saisons. I am going to return later today to enjoy this with lunch, would be too sad to drink it all (25.4 oz) in one shot, though it will take will power to do so.

    Happy BA Anniversary @SawDog505 !!!

Something juicy to follow that KBS variant. Don’t think I’m going anywhere today, which is fine by me.

I will gladly follow you at the virtual bar, @ChicagoJ, especially on a Saturday. Looks like today’s WXRT Flashback is 2005/2006.

[IMG] This was my most consumed local beer back 12 years ago. Excellent stuff and back then it was loved by many BAs. A nice priced, quality IPA. Still tasty today.

Sucaba cellars well. Deep oak barrel, enhanced bitterness in the finish, raisin and different fruit notes.[IMG]
